Final Thoughts of the season

1. You had a blow out win and a season ending loss in the same night. What were your random thoughts when you left the rink last night? I think the Knights are going to absolutely stomp the Colonials and I’m glad it’s not going to be me on the losing end of that

   
   

2. The colonial game was tied at 6 going into the 3rd period. What do you think went wrong in those final 15 minutes?  I really don’t know. Everyone knows when bob gets a lead everyone on his team are like well trained dogs and just stand in front of the goal the whole 15 minutes though

   
   

3. Colonials caught you guys off guard to start the game but you guys bounced back well. Do you think the long break (close to 2 hours) came back to haunt you? No they just got a few bounces to go their way to start. Other than that we played well.

   
   

4. Colonials were ironman in both games. Did you think that gave you guys an advantage going into it? Well they had the right guys to be iron man with so I didn’t really look much into them having no subs.

   
   

5. How would you describe your team’s season overall? We played surprisingly better than I thought we would. Kaden got much better as the season went on too.

   
   

6. What positives can you take out of the loss last night and the season?  I don’t have to drive to Reynoldsville every Monday for a while now.

   
   

7. Now that you are out of it, are you rooting for anyone to win it? Fly Eagles Fly!

   
   

8. Before its all said and done, will the eagles regret not keeping you on their roster this season? I doubt it. I’m old and fat and Clontz is just old. So that’s a good trade off for them.

   
   

9. You will get a 3 week break before SRHL begins. Are you glad? If the weather is nice yes, if not and I’m just sitting around doing nothing because it’s 30° in April it’ll be a long 3 weeks.

   
   

10. Can the colonials/eagles or yeti compete with the knights in the playoffs? I think the Yeti can, but it depends on what Yeti team shows up. They have looked really good against the Knights and really bad against them.

    
    

11. Pittsburgh Pirate bats have been ice cold to start the season. As a baseball coach, is there a different approach a hitter can take to try to get out of a slump?  I don’t know why they’re taking so many first pitch strikes. A lot of the time that’ll be the best pitch you see in an at bat so you might as well jump on it especially if you’re struggling.

    
    

12. The bullpen has been pretty good for the most part. Who would you use as the closer (if the opportunity presents itself which is rare)? Kyle Nicholas no doubt in my mind.

    
    

13. Have you golfed since the last time I asked? I golfed 18 holes on Sunday and I don’t want to talk about how I played

    
    

14. Who were you rooting for to win the masters and what was your overall take on it?  like Bryson, but watching Rory finally win it was pretty cool. There was a lot of up and down golf the whole way through. Rory started the last day with a double bogey and still won.

    
    

15. What other random thoughts are going through your head after last nights games? There’s some teams that play over there that should just pack it up and not come back for another season.
