Foradori's Final Thoughts --- 6th Episode

Your team put on a good showing at Laken’s tournament but fell short in the first playoff game. How would you describe your team’s showing overall?  I think we played good. Clint played great and Jake is always really good back there. Just couldn’t get a couple bounces to go our way in the last few games.  

What went wrong against Adam’s team in the playoffs? I didn’t hold up my end of the bargain scoring wise. Adam played well too

Despite your team not winning in the playoffs, did you consider the event to be a success overall? Yeah it was a good time, glad we got that many people to show up.

What words of encouragement do you have for Laken for whenever she starts her traveling (and expensive) adventure? Idk anything about that stuff so idk, go skate in circles and do well I guess?

There is always debate between a draft and putting your own teams together. What do you like better? ? I like the drafts, keeps away from people dominating the lesser teams

 Rumor has you joining the knights in Brockway this summer. Is it true and if so, did you hesitate at all when they asked you to join them? That’s false, all those stacked teams suck. I know it’ll be much easier on me, they compliment each other well and always have.

How do you think you will fit in with people like Jake, Noah, Andy, Reiter, Wadds (rumor has him joining the knights too)? I think I’ll be okay but it might take a few games to settle into their fast paced game. We’re no game changers just ask the Eagles. We’ll be content to keep the bench warm and make sure everyone’s water bottles are filled for when they take breaks.

While I haven’t watched basketball for a long time, I still consider March Madness to as one of sports best tournaments. Do you like their format better than NCAA football? . I like that so many teams get a chance, but football is different because the SEC and Big 10 teams get all the good players so some of those teams can’t even compete.

 Basketball ratings seem to be very low. Why do you think that is? Basketball sucks. There’s fouls every 20 seconds. I think there was an NBA game that a team shot like 53 free throws in 1 game a few weeks back. How is that fun to watch?

MLB is near. Whats your win prediction for the pirates this season? 79 wins. No run support for the pitching staff.

Is Rudolf going to be the starter or do you think they will bring Wilson back (since it don’t look like Rodgers will be back)? I hope Rudolph is the starter and they spend the money elsewhere to help him out.

NFL draft coming up too. How do you compare it to other sporting events throughout the year? The first round is always a big deal, but after that no one really cares unless you have no life outside of football.

What or who do you think the steelers need to go after in the draft?  Jaxson Dart, build for the future.

 How do you rate the job Dubas is doing so far as Pens GM? . As with everyone, there’s bad and there’s good. But his bad seems to always outweigh his good. C- Keeping the band together instead of spending money to get different talent.

 7 years without a playoff series win now. Where do you think it all went wrong?  Everyone knew after 2017 that everyone was losing a step.

 Whats your Stanley Cup final prediction?  Edmonton wins it all

 Knights got the best of the yeti again last night. Do you think the yeti can beat them in the playoffs again this year? I think so, it’ll obviously take an almost perfect game by them because the knights capitalize on mistakes so well.

Bear Claw got a tough draw last night with Noah and Jay filling in for the Hounds so they had enough to play last night. Waltman, Bassett, Bubba and Britton couldn’t make it. Do you blame your overall team effort on the loss or do you think the addition of Noah and Jay sort of took the wind out of you guys?  Team effort. 2 guys shouldn’t be as big of a problem as we made it seem. They’re good players but it shouldn’t have mattered than much, that’s all on us

You guys almost came back in the 3rd period. What do you think you did better at the end?  Idk really, won battles on the boards I guess. Our passing sucked though

Speaking of Noah, you will be teammates with him this summer. Do you take back your comment about team’s loading up in these leagues now that you are on the Knights for the summer? Yes, I think every team should load up as much as possible to make for lopsided games!

How many rounds of golf have you gotten in so far? Just 1, but there will be many more in the near future.

What other random thoughts do you have going through your head this week? Did you guys see Clint filling in for the Colonials last night? He looked like he was in mid season Clint form!!
